The Mar Sleeva College of Nursing located at Pala in Kottayam District was started in the year 2005 - 2006 with first batch of BSc Nursing having an intake of 60 seats .It is the first institution of the Palai Diocesan Medical Education Trust, established by Mar Joseph Kallarangatt, the Bishop of Palai in 2005.
The Mar Sleeva College of Nursing located at Pala in Kottayam District was started in the year 2005 - 2006 with first batch of BSc Nursing having an intake of 60 seats. It is the first institution of the Palai Diocesan Medical Education Trust, established by Mar Joseph Kallarangatt, the Bishop of Palai in 2005. Later Post Basic BSc and MSc Nursing started with an annual intake of 20 seats and 8 seats respectively . MSc Nursing has 2 Specializations. The college is affiliated to KUHAS , approved by INC & KNC. The college has committed and skilled faculty in all specialties. College has a well-furnished library and well-equipped laboratories. It gives special training in spoken english, computer application, yoga, athletics, sports, games, etc. This has been conferred the minority status by the National Commission for Minority Educational Institutions. The new building of the college and hostel is a blend of modern, Indian, and Kerala architecture which is situated on a state-of-the-art campus.
