Little Lourdes College of nursing, situated at Kidangoor in Kottayam District, is managed by Little Lourdes Charitable Institution Trust. The college is administrated by the Congregation of Sisters of Visitation of Blessed Virgin Mary, Kottayam. Little Lourdes Mission hospital, a 300 bedded hospital started in 1956 functions under this trust. Little Lourdes School of Nursing was started in 2001. The nursing school is being upgraded to College of Nursing in 2013. The college aims at developing women through nursing education by upholding catholic doctrines. The college is recognized by Indian Nursing Council, Kerala Nursing Council for Nurses and Midwives, and affiliated to Kerala University of Health Science. The college started to be viable with full function from the very beginning with curricular and co-curricular activities under the expert leadership of Sr. Philomin SVM, former Principal. The Little Lourdes Campus is vast and provides adequate facilities for the all round development of the students. From 2018 onwards, Dr. Sr. Joseena SVM had taken the charge as the Principal of LLCON.
