J D T College of Nursing was established in the year 2005 at Vellimadukunnu in Kozhikode district under J D T Islam Orphanage Committee. The College is affiliated to Kerala University of Health and Allied Sciences (KUHAS) , approved by Indian Nursing Council (INC) and Kerala Nurses & Midwives Council (KNC).
J D T College of Nursing was established in the year 2005 at Vellimadukunnu in Kozhikode district under J D T Islam Orphanage Committee. J D T Islam orphanage is one of the oldest orphanage started in 1922. There are more than 12 institutions under this Committee. The College is affiliated to Kerala University of Health and Allied Sciences (KUHAS) , approved by Indian Nursing Council (INC) and Kerala Nurses & Midwives Council (KNC). Students with a minimum of 50% marks in Physics , Chemistry & Biology is eligible to study BSc Nursing in our Institution. The College has an annual intake of 50 students in BSc Nursing Seats. 3 - 5 seats are reserved for orphanage students . The College has well equipped laboratories , furnished classrooms , wide library. Nursing is an art & Science dedicated to the welfare of the society. Nursing students have opportunities in different sectors such as govt. sector , private sector , Military Hospitals , Clinics , Nursing homes , Old age homes etc.. Proper clinical training is mandatory for Nursing students .The College provide clinical training at IQRAA International Hospital. The Hospital is a 315 bedded super specialty hospital located in Malaparamba , Kozhikode. Separate hostel facilities are provided for both boys and girls studying in the Institution. The Campus is located in a calm & quiet atmosphere. Indoor and outdoor games are conducted in the Campus to refresh the minds of students. Also co - curricular activities are conducted to encourage the students and the opportunity to perform their personal talents.
