Baby Memorial College of Nursing is one of the first private self financing Colleges which commenced functioning in 2002. The BSc Nursing Course was started in the year 2002 with an annual intake of 60 seats . Later on 2009 , MSc Nursing started with n annual intake of 20 seats in 5 specializations. On 2011 , Post Basic BSc also starts with an annual intake of 30 seats.

The College is attached to 800 bed Baby Memorial Hospital, Kozhikode an ISO and NABH certified multispecialty hospital with 21 Operation Theatres and 141 ICU beds. Also this hospital is the few hospitals in India with "Nursing Excellence" Certification by NABH. The College is affiliated to Indian Nursing Council, New Delhi, Kerala Nurses and Midwives Council, Trivandrum and Kerala University of Health Sciences, Thrissur. The College campus have all type of Nursing Courses which includes GNM, Post Basic BSc, B. Sc, MSc & PB Diploma in Critical Care Nursing and also various degree and diploma courses in Allied Medical Health Sciences; In addition, the academic wing of BMH conducts Medical Post Graduate training courses for doctors under the National Board of Examinations and in association with George Washington University, USA. Baby Memorial College of Nursing is the first Nursing College in self financing sector to be approved as Research Centre of KUHS from 2012 onwards (Ph. D program).
