R.G. Kar Medical College And Hospital was established in the year 1916. College Of Nursing, R.G. Kar Medical College And Hospital Kolkata is a Govt. College. This College is affiliated to WBNC(West Bengal Nursing Council) And for Graduate courses it is affiliated to WBUHS(West Bengal University of Health Sciences) with the annual intake of 60 seats for BSc nursing. Qualified and experienced full time faculty provides the right makes of inputs comprising of theoretical practical and clinical experience. Students have access to study materials in different form such as books, research journals, magazines, newspapers and e-books at well furnished library. BSc Nursing focuses on teaching students the key skills of Nursing, Human Anatomy, Nutrition, Microbiology and Genetics. Laboratories are modernized and advanced. Separate hostel facilities are provided with specious, ventilated, furnished, clean and hygienic rooms with the facilities of separate hygienic toilet with hot & cold running water. Hostel warden has the control over the students and the staff maintain strict rules and regulations in hostel in order to maintain standard living in hostel.
