Manikaka Topawala Institute of Nursing (formerly Charotar Institute of Nursing) was established in 2009 under the aegis of CHARUSAT. Initially, the institute began with a student intake of 40 for its nursing programs. By 2012, the intake was expanded to 60 students, reflecting the growing demand for quality nursing education.

In 2011, the institute introduced the General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) program with a capacity of 40 students. Continuing its expansion, the institute launched postgraduate (PG) programs in five specialties in 2014, further solidifying its reputation as a center of advanced nursing education. Approved by both the Indian Nursing Council (INC) and the Gujarat Nursing Council, the institute ensures adherence to high standards of academic excellence and clinical training.
