Malik Deenar College of Nursing was established in the year 2002 under Kasaragod Muslim Welfare Association (KMWA). BSc Nursing course was started in the year 2002 with an annual intake of 50 seats.
Malik Dheenar College of Nursing was established in the year 2002 under Kasaragod Muslim Welfare Association (KMWA). BSc Nursing course was started in the year 2002 with an annual intake of 50 seats. The college is affiliated to Kerala University of Health & Allied Sciences (KUHAS) , approved by Indian Nursing Council (INC) and Kerala Nurses & Midwives Council (KNC) . Later on 2010 , Post Basic BSc was started with an intake of 30 seats . MSc Nursing was started in the year 2012 with an intake of 4 seats in Child Health Nursing , 2 seats in Community Health Nursing and 2 seats in Medical Surgical Nursing. This 2 Courses are also recognized by INC , KNC, and affiliated to Kerala University of Health Science(KUGHS). The college is situated in a naturally blessed , quiet and calm village Thalangara with greeneries and it create a refreshing mind to the students. Kasaragod is known as the land of seven languages and the land of gods. College provide all requirements to the students both in academics and in extra curricular activities. In the year 2016 , the campus started NSS Unit under the youth affairs and sports department. Students can enroll at the time of admission itself. 7 days residential camp and participation in social services is mandatory for obtaining grace marks and certificates. Blood donation camp , seminars , motivational programs are done under this NSS Unit. Malik Deenar College provide clinical training at parent hospital Malik Dheenar Charitable Hospital .It is a 425 bedded Multi Speciality Hospital started in the year 1972. College, hospital and girls hostel are located in the same area. Boys hostel is located 1 km away from the college.
