Upasana College of Nursing located at Puthuchira in Kollam District was run by Upasana Charitable Society. The college was established in the year 2005 with first batch of BSc Nursing course . Later on 2010 , Post Basic BSc and MSc Nursing were started. Currently college has 75 seats intake in BSc Nursing , 30 seats for Post Basic BSc and MSc Nursing has 5 seats in each 5 specializations. The college is affiliated to Kerala university of health & allied sciences (KUHAS) , approved by Indian Nursing Council (INC) and Kerala nurses & midwives council(KNC). The college has all its infrastructures as per university norms. The campus is located in the town area just 8 km distance from Kollam railway station and 9 km from Kollam Bust stand. So there is no difficulty for transportation. Furnished classrooms , well equipped laboratories , library with wide collection of books , girls hostel etc are some of the specialities. The college has 300 bedded multi speciality parent hospital Upasana Hospital which is 8 km away from the campus. Students are provided clinical training properly in this hospital. Besides academics , extra curricular activities are provided to the students. They can also participate in the programs and improve their talents in various fields.
