The Rufaida College of Nursing was established in 1983 as per the vision of Janab Hakeem Abdul Hameed Saheb, the founder of Jamia Hamdard, who wanted to encourage girls from Muslim minority community and weaker sections of the society to take up the noble profession of Nursing.
The Rufaida College of Nursing was established in 1983 as per the vision of Janab Hakeem Abdul Hameed Saheb, the founder of Jamia Hamdard, who wanted to encourage girls from Muslim minority community and weaker sections of the society to take up the noble profession of Nursing. The College is started with Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery Programme, and later in 1994, 2008, 2013 and 2014, B.Sc. (Hons.) Nursing, M.Sc. Nursing, Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing and Ph.D. in Nursing were started, respectively. The courses offered are recognized by the Indian Nursing Council (INC) and the State Nursing Council (DNC). The students are given clinical training in the parent hospital i.e. HAHC Hospital and other affiliated hospitals, such as Safdarjung Hospital, VIMHANS, IHBAS, etc. he College has well ventilated and spacious classrooms, Seminar Halls, Multipurpose Hall. The College has Fundamental Lab, Skill lab, Nutrition Lab, OBG Lab, Community Lab, Audio Visual Lab, etc. Also library with a wide collection of Books, Journals, Records, are available in the Campus. College Provides E-library as well as regulAr library for support of our students. There are many resources in our Libraries to help you with your studies including; over 30,000 books, journals, newspapers and Additionally, there is a wealth of online resources. Hostel facilities are provided for both Boys and Girls.
