The JSS College of Nursing was started in November 1997 by the foresight and vision of His Holiness Jagadguru Sri Shivarathreeshwara Deshikendra Mahaswamiji to prepare professional Nurses at the university level in order to improve standards of nursing service through quality nursing education. The College offers BSc Nursing, Post Basic BSc Nursing, MSc Nursing having intakes 100, 60 and 25 seats respectively. The College is located at Mysore District in Karnataka. The College is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University, approved by INC and KNC. The College has all facilities including lab, library, spacious classrooms, auditorium, canteen, hostel etc. The College has its own Parent Hospital JSS Hospital. The hospital has around 1800 beds and has specialized in areas like Cardiology, Neurology, Urology, OBG, Pediatrics, Medicine, Surgery, etc. The hospital is equipped with latest equipment and gadgets. Students are provided clinical training at the Hospital. Hostel facility is available to the students.
