Institute of Nursing Education,SME,Chuttippara, Pathanamthitta, , a pioneer institute in the field of nursing education was incepted in 2004 with a view to create nursing professionals competent in providing comprehensive nursing care based on scientific principles. The College is affiliated to Kerala University of Health & Allied Science (KUHAS) , approved by INC & KNC. The College offers 4 year BSc Nursing with an intake of 50 seats. Education has to be the solid base on which India should build its socio- political and economic culture. The Institute of Nursing Education, School of Medical Education, Chuttipara, Pathanamthitta was inaugurated on 2004 by Shri. Oommen Chandy, the chief Minister of Kerala and first batch was admitted in 2004 itself. The institution is situated in the heart of Pathanamthitta and is blessed abundantly with the beauty of Mother nature. The college is equipped with the most modern facilities and exceptional infrastructure, needed for sound education and practice in the nursing profession. Highly qualified faculty handle the theory classes in Pre-clinical subjects and the students utilize the full fledged laboratories for their practical learning. The clinical experience needed for students is offered at General Hospital Pathanamthitta, Mental Health Centre Thiruvananthapuram, Women & Child Hospital Alappuzha, District Hospital Kozhencherry and Government Medical College Hospital Vandanam, Community Health Centre Elanthoor and Konni, Urban Health Unit Kumbazha and Primary Health centres Omalloor and Mallapuzhassery.
