Institute of Nursing Education , was started in the year 1995 under Mahatma Gandhi University with BSc Nursing Course having an intake of 40 seats per year. Now the College is affiliated to Kerala University of Health & Allied science (KUHAS) , approved by Indian Nursing Council (INC) and Kerala Nurses & Midwives Council (KNC).

The college has adequate physical infrastructure as per INC Norms. Students gets clinical facility at various government hospitals including Medical College Hospital , Thrissur Mental Health Centre , General Hospital , Ernakulam and Community Health Centers at Koothattukulam and Thirumarady. Students are providing extra curricular activities. Students actively participate in SNA programme at state levels. The institution has an excellent academic status with 17 well qualified & eminent teaching faculties headed by the Principal Dr.Reny Thomas. Various activities like PTA , alumni , staff development & student welfare programmes , SSGP are actively functioning in the institution.
