The College runs under Guru Nanak Mission and Educational Trust. Guru Nanak Mission Hospital. In 1998, the name of the school officially changed to Guru Nanak College of Nursing and started 4 year BSc Nursing course. In 2008, the Post Basic Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSc N) program was launched. In 2011, a Master of Science (M.Sc) in Nursing program was added. The College is affiliated to Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot, Punjab Nurses Registration Council, Chandigarh, Indian Nursing Council, New Delhi & Government of Punjab. Professional nursing is a life long service to the people and nursing must advance along with other health professional if society is to be assured of a comprehensive health care program. The Institution prepares its students to develop ability to analyze situations and problems, critically and take responsibilities for their higher education for maximum professional effectiveness throughout their career. The Nursing College has separate laboratories that are fully equipped. All the laboratories are equipped with Mannequins, Simulators, Models, Specimens, Audio Visual Aids, computers and necessary articles for Procedure demonstrations. Separate hostels are provided for Boys and Girls.
