Dr .M.V Shetty College of Nursing established in the year 1987 is the first nursing institute to be started under private sector in the state of Karnataka .The College offers BSc Nursing, Post Basic BSc Nursing, MSc Nursing having intakes 80, 35 and 30 seats respectively. The College is recognized by Karnataka Nursing Council and Indian Nursing Council and are affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore. The college has four libraries equipped with about 14000 volumes of books related to the subjects, 40 National and International journals and E-Journal, 1100 back volumes of the journals. Also well equipped laboratories are available. Separate hostels are provided for boys and girls. Hostel is compulsory for girls till the completion of their course. Hostel is compulsory for boys in the first year. The transport facility is also provided to students for Clinicals, University related works, fests for sports and cultural competitions held in different colleges. The student of the college regularly participate in inter - collegiate tournaments in various sports and games events both within the university area and outside the university.
