The nursing programme in Tata Main Hospital started in the year1939 in the School of Nursing and provide GNM course. From the academic year 2015-2016 onwards, School of Nursing is upgraded to College of nursing by providing 4 years Basic B.Sc. Nursing degree. College of Nursing, Tata Main Hospital is approved by Indian Nursing Council, New Delhi and recognized by Jharkhand Nurses’ Registration Council, Ranchi and affiliated to Kolhan University, Chaibasa. College is well equipped with various laboratories including Foundations of Nursing Lab, Nutrition Lab, Community Health Lab, Mother & Child Health Lab, Audio visual aids room, Computer lab. College Of Nursing has a hostel which is situated within the TMH campus and can accommodate around 250 students. The hostel has 24 hours supply of electricity and safe drinking water as well as a kitchen and a mess. An anti-ragging squad is functioning to ensure there is no such activities in hostel and the students are guided and governed by Anti-ragging committee.
