The Christian Institute of Health Sciences and Research (CIHSR) was established in 2007 under a tripartite partnership between Christian Medical College, Vellore, Emmanuel Hospital Association, New Delhi and the Government of Nagaland as a charitable Society and organization. The institution's objectives include fostering an understanding of lifestyle and health factors, promoting critical thinking skills for quality care decision-making, and integrating the latest trends and technology in healthcare practices. Committed to national health policies, the college instills the principles of promotive, preventive, and restorative health services. Upholding a strong ethical framework and legal boundaries, students are trained to practice nursing within acceptable standards of conduct. The Clinical training is provided at the Parent Hospital. A 200 bedded NABH entry level accredited secondary to mid-level tertiary hospital with most of the broad specialties and a few higher specialties in Gastroenterology & Cardiology. These facilities collectively contribute to creating a well-rounded educational experience for nursing students, preparing them for the challenges of the healthcare profession. Accommodation facilities for students who come from out of town, fostering a sense of community among students. The College Cafeteria providing nutritious meals and a comfortable space for students to dine and socialize.
