It is affiliated to Srimanta Sankaradeva University of Health Sciences, and Assam down town University and recognized by Indian Nursing Council and Assam Nurses’ Midwives & Health Visitors Council.

Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing, GNM and ANM courses had been started in the year of 2010 and 2011. Sankar Madhab College of Nursing has been renamed as the Faculty of Nursing under Assam down town University, effective from 2017. Equipped with modern infrastructure, including well-equipped laboratories, simulation centers, and clinical training facilities, the Faculty of Nursing emphasizes a blend of theoretical learning and practical exposure.
