Asian Institute of Nursing Education was established in 2004 under Institute of Neurological Sciences Trust (INS), Guwahati. The College is a[[roved by Indian Nursing Council and the assam Nursing Council. The institute is affiliated with SNDT Women’s University, the first Women’s University in India and having All India Jurisdiction for affiliation which solidifies its dedication.

In 2009, AINE initiated the M.Sc. Nursing course. under the same University, offering speciality subjects including Medical Surgical Nursing, Child Health Nursing, Obstetrics and Gynecology Nursing, and Community Health Nursing. Following this milestone, in 2011, the institute expanded its offerings with the commencement of the Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing course under Srimanta Sankaradeva University of Health Sciences, Assam. The class rooms are built to the standards with comfortable and pleasing furniture. Asian Institute of Nursing Education is attached to Parental GNRC Hospital having the departments like Medicine, Surgery, Neurology, Neurosurgery, Cardiology, ENT, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Pediatric, Orthopedic, Physiotherapy etc. The Institute has its own hostel, the hostels have excellent boarding facilities.
