Amala College of Nursing was established in the year 2005 with first batch of BSc Nursing having an intake of 50 seats. Later MSc Nursing was started at 2011 with 13 seats in 3 specialisations. The College is affiliated to Kerala University of Health & Allied Sciences (KUHAS) , approved by Indian Nursing Council (INC) and Kerala Nurses & Midwives Council (KNC).

The College has its own Parent Hospital Amala Hospital and it provides proper clinical training to the students. The teaching faculties are well experianced and dedicated . Besides academics , extra curricular activities , outdoor and indoor games are conducted in the College .Students can participate in any programmes according to their talents Hosel facilities are provided for the students in the same Campus. Also Chappel is also in the same campus which will help the students to continue their prayers when they are in the campus.
